An educator teaching Bitcoin to a community
The Educator Training Program is your springboard to becoming a Bitcoin educator. A springboard only works if you jump. Bring the commitment, put in the work, and we'll help guide you every step of the way.

What You'll Walk Away With

You already know Bitcoin. The ETP gives you what it actually takes to teach it well, and to keep going after the sessions end.

“I understand Bitcoin, but I freeze up in front of a class.”

Learn to facilitate a real class, not just present slides.

“Most people who try to teach end up doing it alone.”

Connect with a mentor and a network of educators in 40+ countries.

“I've got the curriculum, but not a class.”

Leave with everything you need to run your first cohort.

“Why would students trust me to teach?”

Earn certification that puts My First Bitcoin's name behind you.

Not Just A Course.

A curriculum doesn't teach anyone. People do. So the ETP isn't a course to sit through, it's three stages that make you an educator.

Six hours, live, online, in a small cohort.

The MFB curriculum and guides, educator tools and resources, cohort planning: everything between you and a classroom.

You leave equipped and ready to start teaching.

This is where it gets real.

You run actual classes in your own community while a mentor has your back and opens doors inside the Educator Network.

The expectation is simple: teaching within three months of finishing Stage 1.

One class. One panel of peers.

Scored against a shared rubric until they reach consensus. Pass, and My First Bitcoin puts its name behind you, including the option to teach ETP sessions yourself.

Not there yet? Keep your mentor and try again after three more months of practice.

The impact, measured

How confident do you feel leading a Bitcoin learning session?

Before ETP 3.89 → After ETP 4.55 +0.66

How ready do you feel to use the Bitcoin Diploma to teach a group of learners?

Before ETP 4.04 → After ETP 4.45 +0.41

What The Certificate Communicates

Pass Stage 3 and this is what you can honestly say, and what My First Bitcoin now stands behind.

I have put in the time to learn how to be a Bitcoin educator. This is my proof of work. My students leave empowered and ready to explain Bitcoin to others.

Every certified ETP educator

We Screen For Motivation.
Not Credentials.

Applications are read carefully, and not every one is a fit right now. That's not a judgement. It usually just means there's a better first step. Here's how to tell where you stand.

  • Why you're hereTo teach Bitcoin in your own community, not just build a following. To add another certificate to the shelf. The certificate follows the teaching, not the other way around.
  • Your foundationYou've been through the MFB curriculum and decided: this is what I want to spread Bitcoin with.Still building your Bitcoin knowledge. Start with the Bitcoin Diploma: it's free, and it's the prerequisite in spirit.
  • Your timelineReady to get in front of students within three months.Looking for a short course to finish and move on.
  • Your commitmentMotivated, and ready to actively participate.Mainly after public-speaking practice. Worthy goal, different program, and we'll point you to one.

Sounds like you? Apply to the next cohort. No judgement, it usually just means there's a better first step.

What Our Graduates Say

Questions Before You Apply

Yes. We strongly recommend you've completed the My First Bitcoin curriculum, self-paced or with an educator, before you apply. You arrive Bitcoin-literate, because we don't teach you Bitcoin. We teach you how to teach Bitcoin.
The application, Stage 1 and Stage 2 are free and stay free. No one here is filtered out by cost, only by motivation.
Six hours of live sessions, plus the classes you go on to teach. The heavier commitment is Stage 2: planning and running real cohorts in your own community, with a mentor alongside you.
No. Stage 1 leaves you equipped to teach; it doesn't certify you. Certification comes after you've taught real classes and been evaluated live by a three-person panel.
Yes. We read for motivation rather than credentials or reputation, and cohorts are kept deliberately focused. If the fit isn't right yet, we'll tell you what we'd like to see and you're welcome to apply again.
Applications are open on a rolling basis, and cohorts stay small so mentorship stays close. Apply whenever you're ready and we'll place you in the next one that fits your schedule.
